Well my parents did make it to Hawaii. It took several extra hours, but made it. Once there they said there was minimal damage to the island (as we had all seen on the news, they did not have that luxury). There is some debris and flooding along the coastline. Hopefully everything will get cleaned up quickly and life will go back to normal there!
